This year it’s expected to harvest about 9.4 million tons of vegetables in Ukraine. This harvest will fully satisfy the needs of the Ukrainians, which are estimated at 7.3 million tons. In addition, the state continues to develop vegetable stores to maintain stable prices for vegetables and to make them available all the year round. This was announced by Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
“This year, we will have not only a high yield of grain crops, but also a high harvest of fruits and vegetables. It is predicted that it will be harvested about 9.4 million tons of vegetables. Therefore, the domestic demand, which is not more than 7.3 million tons, will be fully satisfied. As the regards price situation, it will remain stable. So we actively fight against speculators on the fruit and vegetable market”, the Minister said.
For example, the high crop of borsch set vegetables*, which are the most popular among consumers, will be harvested in Ukraine. This year will be harvested about1.8 million tons of cabbages; 860 thousand tons of beets; 865 thousand tons of carrots and more than 1 million tons of onions.

The newspaper Agromarket, the magazine Agroexpert and the Russian Internet-portal Agro-XXI provided information support to the event.
The participation in the conference allowed delegates to see the innovations in the micronutrients and plant protection products market, to understand market trends, to identify ways of business development including the optimization of the economic efficiency of agricultural production.

Traditionally, the Dutch-Ukrainian Forum devoted to the greenhouse industry took place on the first day of the Greenhouse Industry Fair. It was jointly organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business, AgriEvent Agency and S-TEAM Exhibition Company. This year, the Forum brought together more than 200 participants. The conference hall was crowded, which confirmed once again the consistent growth trend in popularity of the greenhouse business in Ukraine. Right after the Forum, a seminar on Advanced Dutch Technologies for greenhouse business took place. During the training, members of the Dutch Greenhouse Business Mission to Ukraine presented their solutions and technologies to Ukrainian agrarians. The training was organized by the company Next Step Ukraine and NUSECO. Also, on the first day the fair, a master-class on Marketing and Sales of Mushrooms was held with comparable success. This event was organized by the news agency UMDIS and the Union of Mushroom Producers of Ukraine. The hall was completely full: the master-class brought together more than 150 interested listeners.
For the second time already, the International Greenhouse Industry Fair has been supported by the most authoritative union in the field of mushroom production, the Association Union of Mushroom Producers of Ukraine. Whether the mushroom growing belongs to the greenhouse industry or not is a controversial issue. But it is difficult to argue with the fact that greenhouse and mushroom farms have much in common. That is why the Association Union of Mushroom Producers of Ukraine and a number of other member-companies from the Association will be represented at the Industry Fair as a separate exposition. According to Sergey Kravchuk, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, ‘Greenhouse Industry Fair is a bright example of business approach when high professionalism and creativity are combined. Such an approach to one’s business is able to change our country for the better and bring the mushroom industry to the leading positions in the modern agriculture’.
At the Mushroom Exposition, such organizations and companies will be presented:
